Your Number Matters

Hello “Your Number Matters” Community, It’s been a while since my last newsletter, and I wanted to make you aware of two programs I am facilitating in a few weeks. The registration link is below for the in-person session, and there is an online session also for the same dates. The time for the online session is 6:30-8 pm.

Anxiety often signals that something within us is calling for attention—not just worry or a reaction to stress, but a sacred yearning for change, meaning, and alignment. We find ourselves living in an age where the headlines seem designed to inflame both our personal and collective fears, leaving us ungrounded and uncertain. Instead of suppressing or avoiding anxiety, what if we could listen to it as a messenger?

Join Paula McCoach on a journey from understanding your unique anxiety patterns to embracing personalized practices and techniques for moving forward in life. This program is ideal for anyone seeking to not just manage anxiety, but to fundamentally shift their relationship with it—converting its energy into a catalyst for authentic, engaged living. In the safety of sacred community, participants will:

  1. Identify their personal anxiety—physical sensations, thought patterns, triggering situations—through guided self-assessment tools.   

  2. Learn and practice techniques tailored to individual needs, including breathing and muscle relaxation exercises that reset the nervous system.   

  3. Cultivate customized emotional and cognitive regulation strategies.   

  4. Recognize specific behaviors and habits that inadvertently feed anxiety cycles and learn alternative responses.

  5. And, create a personalized affirmation/prayer/spiritual practice and behavior change plan.

Some of the spiritual practices that will be introduced and practiced include:

Mindful Breathing with Intention
Practice breathing exercises while focusing on the idea that each breath connects you to something larger than yourself and physically calms you.

Connection to Spiritual Guidance
Recalling times you were guided by Spirit and learning how to stay in the flow of that divine guidance.

Grounding Through Gratitude 
When anxiety spirals begin, learning to shift into naming things for which you are grateful can reconnect you to the sacred and transform your anxiety into peace.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or Tapping
Connecting with your pressure points resets anxiousness in your body and brings your mental state to serenity.

Personal Affirmations and Behaviors
Creating a statement to repeat which meets your individual needs and provides clarity and calmness in anxious moments, allowing you to choose healthy behaviors.

Join us to discover what resonates with your personal spiritual understanding, while accessing self-patience and compassion in the development of these life-giving practices. Whether you are navigating a life transition, managing chronic worry, or longing for deeper peace, this program offers a soulful path forward.

This program will be offered both in-person at the Well in the afternoon or online in the evening to allow for as many folks as possible to benefit from Paula’s teachings. This registration page is for the In-Person session at the Well.

Paula McCoach is a former teacher and counselor with a passion for the Enneagram’s transformative potential. As an experienced Enneagram teacher and coach, she specializes in helping others discover their Enneagram type and harness the power of their unique strengths. Based in Timonium, MD, Paula also dedicates her time to community service, volunteering with the fundraising department at the Lutherville Volunteer Fire Department.
